Some important papers came home in your child’s folder this week. These papers explain our holiday shop we have here at school. It is a fun for the kids to participate! Our class goes on Monday, December 3rd. If you would like your child to participate, use the envelope that was attached to the paper that came home (see 2nd picture). Please list the the name of the person that your child is buying for and the amount that your child is allowed to spend. Then just put the money in the envelope and send it to school by Monday. Please note the gift prices below in the 1st picture. The PTO also has a sign up on their Facebook page for parents to sign up to help out with the holiday fun! There is a ticket at the bottom of the page. Fill it out, cut it off and send it back to school with your kindergartner. They can be entered in a drawing to receive a Hersheypark Christmas Candylane ticket!

I just wanted to send out a few reminders as the weather is getting colder. Please make sure your child has a winter coat, mittens/gloves and a hat. The weather has been windy and cold and we do still go out to recess. The kids bring their coats and things to hang outside of the cafeteria so we can get them on days we have library or gym and then we head right out to recess. It would be helpful if you would write your child's name inside their coat. I showed the kids how to put their hat and gloves inside the sleeve of their coat so when we hang up our coats we don't lose those things. This is a lot for these little kids but they are dong a great job keeping everything in order while they are at school. One more helpful thing would be, if your child wears snow boots to school, please send a pair of shoes in their backpack that they can easily change into - wearing snow boots all day just isn't working out for them. Thanks for all of your help!
We had a lot of Thanksgiving themed learning at our centers this week! Here are some awesome pattern block turkies that the kids created. They had so much fun!
Don’t forget to visit the book fair tonight, it’s family night, in the elementary school from 5:30-7:30!
