We will be celebrating Read Across America along with all of the schools in America! We have so much fun planned! We can't wait to celebrate!

We recently celebrated the 100th day of school and had so much fun! There were 100 hearts heading down the hall to our classroom and a big surprise when we got to room 5! We made necklaces out of 100 beads! We can count to 100 by 10's! We played with 100 numbers, 100 friends
and can't wait for 100 more days! We had our weekly kindergarten team meeting this past Wednesday and Chris Leonzo, our K-3 literacy coach, shared a great website with us. I thought I could pass this resource on to you for you to use with your little one at home. The site is called, ReadWriteThink.org, and I have included the link to get to the student interactive section titled, "Learning About Language". This site is run by the NCTE, the National Council of Teachers of English and the National Literacy Association. Click on the link below to see some of the activities that you can use at home for practice and review. There is an ABC Match, Construct-a-Word, Picture Match, and more! This is great for all levels of readers!
